sweet ride

Except for the 1-mile cardio warmup on the treadmill I did on Friday before weight training, I haven't run since Tuesday's 10K, from which I felt sore for two days afterwards and decided to just hang out -- sometimes on a patio with a cold drink -- rather than run. But I participated yesterday in the annual charity bike ride up and down two major highways. It was my fourth year pedalling for heart and stroke research, and the fourth year I completed the 50K route with my dad. We did better than last year -- time wise (2:35, including one rest stop at the halfway mark for oranges and water) -- and that has a lot to do with a better bike (I don't think I'm necessarily fitter).
