It's not fair. I think I'm in reasonably good health, diabetes notwithstanding, and then my doctor calls. I've never dealt well with swallowing pills. In fact, I'd rather just suffer through a migraine than take an aspirin. But alas, I am on a couple of different meds to control the diabetes and I'm dealing with it to some extent in my own twisted way.
Now here's the kicker. I have to temporarily add another pill... apparently my visit to the endocrinolgist a couple of weeks ago, which included all sorts of fun tests like peeing in a cup, yielded the unwelcome result of a bladder infection. Don't worry, the doc says, it's normal. I said, Bladder infection? Get outta here. I feel fine. This doesn't feel like a bladder infection.
Of course, as soon as someone told me, I started to think about it. And when I went for the makeup 3-miler tonight, I had to stop after 10 minutes and find a washroom. Ducked into a University of Toronto building .. and later noticed the building was fittingly called the Facilities Building. Anyways, I finished the rest of the run over 38 minutes without incident, but it wasn't comfortable. This clearly fits into the Too Much Information category.
But knowing that this is the latest thing wrong with me, I am not looking forward to a Long Run tomorrow. Must plan one that includes lots of public washrooms. My time, not that I care all that much, is going to go down the drain.
Yes, pun intended. Gah.
