In the first running session of the plan, I was scheduled to go 3 miles today. Legs were feeling tight, probably due to not resting and going to G's class last night. Made myself yet another route. I wanted to start the training by the water, again trying to conjure up the same kind of run as I had 10 days ago in Vancouver. Dragged CMan out to the Beach, saying that fresh air would be good for him. The idea of going to the Beach was a good in theory but perhaps I miscalculated how many people would be there. We spent a good half hour looking for parking. Eventually we ditched the public lot and parked on the street we used to live on last summer -- and at the opposite end of the Beach which is less travelled. A breezy night, but runners were outnumbered by the beach volleyballers... at least between 7:45pm and 9pm.

He rollerbladed, and I trotted along beside him. And he took pictures with his new camera.
Still Garmin-less, I overachieved and did approximately 3.7 miles (or 6K). See route.

Great idea to meet up! Pix courtesy of CMan, who got a cool new Sony Cybershot 7.2megapixel camera.
